My Story

My Dear Friend,

If you’re like me at the beginning of my Health Journey, you know what I mean when I say that I was secretly afraid of where my health was headed and totally confused about what to do about it.  With so much information out there and feeling like I was being pulled in so many different directions, I felt like the science experiment that wouldn’t quit!

While it was frustrating, it really turned out to be an obvious blessing that I just did not see at the time!  I gained a vast amount of knowledge and insight during that period, which I now call my Health Journey and it really helped me to reconnect with my self.   I began to write about my experiences and share that work with others.  This lead to more research and writing until a group of natural health doctors and professionals asked me to create a natural heath magazine for a patient group in the UK.  I learned so much more from the most amazing people and pioneers who all opened their doors to me for what I would say were the most valuable conversations relating to health and wellness that I’ve ever experienced.  I was like a sponge.  Because of my natural curiosity and (sometimes obsessive) tenacity to self discover, I engaged in hands-on learning and LOTS of experimenting and guess what…my Whole Health drastically improved…naturally.

I learned about everything from whole foods,  supplementation, chiropractic, growing your own food,  the emotion of food, acupuncture, detoxing, infertility, and so much more…There was so much to learn and discover and so I started to write my discoveries and I shared them with all of the practitioners.  THEY looked forward to hearing about the wide array of information that I had and loved learning about what others were doing.  They shared it with their colleagues, family, friends, and most of all, patients.   I started a newsletter service for doctors and practitioners in the natural health profession (it was easier to share the information that way!) so that they could have an extension of their service for their patients.  My articles and recipes gave their patients small doses of health and wellness tips on a wide range of topics with doable steps that really worked.  What they loved was that the array of information kept the patients engaged, curious, and deeply rooted in the core philosophy of natural health.

The fulfillment of sharing through my writing and love for people prompted me to further my “education” with a certification.  It was a natural next step.  I studied at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, where I was educated and trained holistically to be a Certified Health Counselor.  I learned from the world’s leading experts such as Joshua Ronsenthal, David Wolfe, Andrea Beaman, Dr. Barry Sears, Dr. Joel Fuhrman, Dr. David Katz, Dr. Mark Hyman, Deepak Chopra, Dr. Andrew Weil, Sally Fallon and so much more.  The school taught me the pros and cons of over 100 dietary theories and lifestyle habits of the happy and healthy so that I could use that knowledge as a resource to guide my clients in finding what works for them.

My entire education, including all of my experiences, helped me to discover the perfect blend of vital ingredients that, when given a secure structure to work within, allow lifelong practices to emerge and true success to be attained…every single time.

As I always say, serendipitous moments happen when you least expect it and need it most.  If you landed here, I suspect that you know why that is and that the timing is somehow perfect.  I’ve been given so many gifts on my own Health Journey and I am so excited to have the opportunity to share them all with you!  I look forward to hearing from you and sharing this wonderful path ahead.

Be Happy, Healthy & Whole!
